Grand Jury Writ of Venire for December Term 1810
Abstract

On the first Monday of December in 1810 the only judge present for the Court of Quarter Sessions was Francois Vaugine. Patrick Cassidy was the clerk of the court. Sheriff Daniel Mooney had summoned 24 grand jurors for jury duty: Samuel Moseley, Sylvanus Phillips, Peter Randall, Maurice Fontenou, Robert Aljous, John McCartney, Morgan Donoho, John Hadley, Seth Derickson, Victor Cassier, John Jardelas, Christopher Kauffman, Henry Cassidy, John Ingram, James Arrell, Michael Pringle, James Young, Willis Lemons, Martin McWilliams, John Fowler, James Morrison, Tanas Racine, Robert Jones, and John Maddox. Since only one judge was present, the court could do no business. On the next day the situation was the same, and so court was adjourned until the first Monday in April.
