To the Honorable Francois Vaugine Esqr Presiding Judge of the court of common pleas for the District of Arkansas-

The petition of John Lear respectfully shews to your honor that whereas Jacob Durst has taken out a writ of foreign attachment against the goods chattels &c of Walter Hall in a plea of trespass on the case & your petitioner made garnishee in the above case, & the good so attatched being now in the possession of the Sheriff, your petitioner begs leave to state to your honor that he being in partnership with the said Hall in the aforesaid property attached by the Sheriff, which render your petitioner unable to pursue his business, & that the said Jacob Durst is not a resident of this territory & ought to be held to Bail for the cost of Damages which may or shall accrue in the above attatchment agreeable to a law of this territory in such case made & provided otherwise to have his suit Dismissed & your petitioner is in duty bound will ever pray &c

You are hereby commanded to notify Jacob Durst that unless he be & appear immediately before me at my chambers & give Security for the costs & Damages that may or shall accrue in an attatchment Jacob Durst vs Walter Hall, his Suit will be dismissed at the petition of John Lear garnishee in the aforesaid suit given under my hand at my chamber the 25th day of August one thousand eight Hundred & ten of the independence the thirty fifth
