And the said John D Chisholme in his own proper person comes into court and defends the wrong and injury when where &c and saith that the Said Robert Clary ought not to have his said action against him, because he says that he the afsd John did well and truly pay to the said Robert the debt in the decliration mentioned and that the afsd Robert Clarey is indebted to him the Said John in a much larger sum (to wit, in the sum of Four hundred and ninety five Dollars Twenty five Cents all which facts the afsd John is ready to verify; wherefore he prays judgment if the afsd Robert ought to have his said action against him |
