Grand Jury Writ of Venire
for April 1811 Term
Abstract
| On the first Monday of April 1811 the only judge present for the Court of Quarter Sessions was Francois Vaugine. Patrick Cassidy was the clerk of the court. Sheriff Daniel Mooney had summoned 24 grand jurors for jury duty: John D. Chisholm, Sylvanus Phillips, John Jordelas, Joseph Bougey, John B. Dereaussau, Jacob Barkman, Robert Jones, John Webster, Henry Cassidy, James Scull, Etienne Cassier, Christopher Kauffman, Pierre Pertuis, Francois Dereassau, Francois Ambroise, Louis Plaica, Joseph Dereaussau, Patrick Heneberry, Christian Pringle, Harold Stillwell, Samuel Moseley, John Larkey, Dada, and Joseph Dardannes. Since only one judge was present, the court could do no business. On the next day the situation was the same, and so court was adjourned until the first Monday in August. |
