26 Perly Wallis Pierre Dedien Teritory
of Louisiana

In
the court of common Pleas To April Term for the year of our Lord one
thousand Eight hundred and Eleven
} District of the Arkansas
Perly Wallis in his own Proper person comes here into court and complains
of Jacob Durst in a Plea of Trespass
on the case and sayeth that the Said Dourst is Indebted unto him on
Note of hand as indorsee Said note given originally to Thomas Clary or
order for one hundred Dollars which may more fully appear by the Said
Note herewith to be shewn in court on Trial of the Promises the said note
is in the following words and figures (viz) on the Seventh Day of Septr
I promise to pay to Mr Thomas Clary or order one hundred Dollars for Value
Received His Arkansas August 16th and 1810 and on the back of Said Note is the following indorsement Pay the within to Perly Wallis For value Recd of him signed Thos Clary And the Said Wallis further Sayeth that the Said Daurst in consequence of Said Signature and indorsement became indebted and liable to pay unto the said Wallis the said [image of page 2] Sum of one hundred Dollars for value Reced as agreable to the Tenor of Said note yet the Said Durst although often requested hath not Paid the Same nor any Part thereof but hath hitherto refused and Still Doth refuse to pay the Same or any Part thereof which is to the Damage of him the Said Wallis one hundred and fifty Dollars for the recovery of which together with Interest and Costs he brings Suit- Perly Wallis Perly
