Grand Jury Writ of Venire
for July 1811
Abstract
|
On the fifth Monday of July in 1811, the only judge present for the Court of Quarter Sessions was Francois Vaugine. The writ of venire summonsing a grand jury had been issued on July 6 by Patrick Cassidy, the clerk of the court. Sheriff Daniel Mooney returned it on July 26th, having summonsed Samuel Moseley, James Scull, John Hendry, Louis Bougy, Francis Michel, John and Alex Jardelas, John Larkey, Samuel Lemon, John B. and Joseph Dereauseau, Christian Pringle, Christopher Kauffman, Tanas Racine, Harold Stillwell, Samuel Carter, Benjamin Ross, Asher Bassey, John D. Chisholm, Curtis Welborn, John Cornwell, Jacob Barkman, Anthony Wolf and Samuel Gates. However, since two judges were needed for the court to do business, it was adjourned till the next term. |
