In the circuit court for the County aforesaid To July Term AD1823

Bazil Boran by William Trimble his attorney complains of Robert B. Musick of a plea of covenant broken for that whereas the said defendant on the fifteenth day April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight and hundred and thirteen at the county of Hempstead aforsd by his deed in writing of that date in court to be produced covenanted with the plaintiff to pay him the sum of two hundred dollars in horse flesh at trading rates on the second Friday of June then next following the date of said deed for value received yet the said Robert B. Musick although often requested did not pay to the said Bazil Boran the said Sum of two hundred dollars in horse flesh at trading rates on the Second Friday of June next following the date of the said deed but wholly neglects and refuses so to do. And so the said Robert B Musick his said covenant hath not kept but has broken the same to the damage of the said of the said plaintiff five hundred dollars and therefore he sues &c

The clerk of the Circuit court for Hempstead county will issue capias on the foregoing declaration & endorse it an action of covenant Broken bail required in the sum of four hundred dollars

The United States of America, to the Sheriff of the aforesaid county–GREETING

WE command you that you take the within named Robert B Musick if he may be found in your bailiwick, and him safely keep, so that you have his body before the Judge of our Circuit Court, at a Court to be holden at John English in and for the county aforesaid, on the third Monday of July inst, next then and there to answer the within named Bazil Boran in a plea of covenant broken and to his damage five hundred dollars and you have then there this writ.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand, as Clerk of the Circuit Court and affixed the seal of the county this 1st day of July 1823, and of the Independence of the United States the 47th.
