Abraham Secrets complains of Martin Gist of a plea that he render to him the said Abraham Secrets one Road Waggon and one pare of work oxen of grate value to wit of the value of two hundred dollars lawfull money of the United States which he unjustly detains from him

For that whereas the said Abraham Secrets heretofore to wit on the first day of February in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight at the County of Pulaski aforesaid was Lawfully possed of a certain road Waggon and certain pare of work oxen of grate value to wit of the value of the two hundred dollars lawfull money of the United States. and being thereof so possest afterwards to wit on the tenth day of February in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight at the county afd the same Road Waggon and the same work oxen out of his possession casually lost. and whereas afterward to wit on the same day and year last aforesaid at the County aforesaid the Same Road Waggon and the same work oxen to the hands and possession of the said Martin Gist by finding Came, yet the said Martin Gist well knowing the said road waggon and the said work oxen to be the property of him the Said Abraham Secrets and to him of right to belong hath not as yet altho often requested so to do delivered the Said road waggon or the Said work oxen or either of them to the Said Abraham Secrets but the Same road waggon and the same work oxen to him to delever hitherto hath wholy refused and still doth refuse and unjustly detains the Same from the Said Abraham Secrets at the County of Pulaski aforesaid to the damage of him the Said Abraham Secrets [Image of page 4] three hundred dollars and therefore he brings his suit

This day personally Came before me the undersigned a Justice of the peace within and for Bigrock Township in the County of Pulaski Abraham Secrets and made oath according to law that the Property in the foregoing decleration mentioned in his property and that he is lawfully entitled to the possession thereof And that he believes the property to be worth the Sum of one hundred and Sixty dollars. And that Martin Gist the defendent unlawfully detains the Same 21st February 1828
