United States Sevd this writ on the within named Peeler & Laforgue and have them
present Filed June 25th 1828 County of Arkansas SS United States of america To the Sheriff of the County aforesaid "Greeting" Whereas Lieut William B Summers of the County aforesaid hath this day given information upon oath to me Eli J Lewis a Justice of the peace within & for said County of Arkansas that on the 30th of May 1828 at the County aforesd, he placed under guard & care of Richmond Peeler & Francis Laforgue a Choctaw Indian man, name unknown by order of Col. Eli J. Lewis and said Indian was murdered on the same night. These are therefore to command you forthwith to apprehend the said Richmond Peeler & Francis Laforgue, and bring them before me or some other Justice of the peace for this County to answer the premises & further to be dealt with according to law Given under my hand and seal at the County of Arkansas this 31st day of May AD 1828.
