In the superior Court for the Territory aforesd to October Term A. D. 1827

The Grand Jurors of the United States upon empannelled sworn and charged to enquire in and for the body of the Territory of Arkansas aforesaid upon their oath present that and say that Ambrose H. Sevier late of the County of Pulaski on the fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and twenty seven at Point Remove in the Cherokee boundary and within the Territory aforesaid did then and there knowingly and wilfully fight a duel with one Thomas W. Newton then and there being against the form of the statute in such case made and provided and against the peace and dignity of the United States and of this Territory
