Territory of Arkansas Sct
The United States of America To the Sheriff of Pulaski County Greeting. Whereas heretofore To wit at the April Term of the Superior Court for the Territory of Arkansas in the year of our lord 1828 George Izard Governor of the Territory of Arkansas Obtained a Judgment against Thomas W. Newton for the sum of Six hundred and forty eight dollars and Sixty two cents debt and Sixty one dollars and fifty six cents damages for the detention of Said debt. And whereas the Said George Izard is Since deceased having before his deceased duly made and Published his last will and Testament in writing and thereby Constituting his Son Ralph F. Izard Executor Thereof Which Said last will and Testament baring date the day [ ] of [ ] in the year of our lord [ ] was properly Proven and Recorded in the Propper Clerks office in Pennsylvania And legally Certifyed and Recorded in The Pulaski Circuit Court Clerks Office In the Territory of Arkansas. And Whereas the Said Judgment So obtained by the Said George Izard against the Said Thomas W Newton has not been Satisfyed Reversed or Annuled. These are therefore to Command you that by good and lawful Men of your baliwick you Make Known unto the Said Thomas W Newton that he be and appear before the Judges of our Superior Court at the Court house in the Town of Little Rock in the County of Pulaski on the first day of our Next July Term Thereof To be holden on the Second Monday of July next To Shew If he hath or can Say any thing for himself why The Said Ralph F Izard Executor as aforesaid of all and Singular the goods and Chattels Rights and Credits of George Izard deceased ought not to have the Said Judgment Revived in his own Name against the Said Thomas W. Newton for the Said debt damages and Cost. And further to do and Receive all and Singular those things which our Said Court Shall Then and There consider Concerning him in this [Image of page 3] Behalf. And have you then and there the Names of those whome you Shall Make the Same Known unto him and also have then there this writ
